Annual Amarnath Yatra: Amarnath Temple is located in Jammu and Kashmir, India. According to ancient history, the Amarnath cave, dwelling of the Mahamaya  Shakti Peeta. Lakhs of people visited this cave temple from all over India. This remains one of the holistic places for those who believe in the myth of Lord Shiva.

Further, the pilgrimage means Amarnath Yatra, which happens when the Iced stalagmite Shiva lingam reaches the apex of its increasing stage through the summer months.

This year, the annual Amarnath Yatra would commence in the month of June. In the last two years, the Yatra was suspended due to the spread of COVID-19.

On Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced that the Yatra will start at the end of June 2022. Moreover, it will hold for 43 days from 30th June to 11th August.

However, the announcement arrived after Sinha conducted the meeting with Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board members. During the meeting, he asked officials to bold and provide precise arrangements for a safe Yatra.  Because, this year, they expect a large number of visitors. They had in-depth discussions on various issues also on the upcoming Yatra.

Further, the government may introduce Radio Frequency Identification System for pilgrims to track their movement. And also they will provide details of the route map of Yatra and other services that will be available in and at the shrine.

According to the source, the online registration process for this greatest pilgrimage will available from April 11.

Sinha said that they provide security teams, mountain rescue teams, J&K police, and medical camps for visitors.
