India COVID News: On Monday, the Active Covid cases number in India reached the 7,00,000 mark. Moreover, the number of new cases rose by 179,723. For the fourth straight day, India sees a huge difference in the daily Covid-19 count at 179,723.

Around 1,000 police members tested positive in New Delhi, said on Monday. In those, public relations officers and commissioner Chinmoy Biswal have tested positive. 

on Monday, DDMA decided that it not impose lockdown in Delhi. but, it plans to impose some more restrictions without creating disadvantages to people due to rising cases. Dine-in facilities at restaurants are likely to be prohibited, but takeaways will be allowed.

India COVID News in Maharashtra:

On Sunday, IT hub of India, Pune registered around 6,464 Covid-19 cases. A source said that the positive case rate of Pune stood at 19% for per100 test. On the same day, Maharashtra reported 207 new Omicron cases, in terms of the state’s overall cases. Now, the Omicron cases number reached 1,216 in Maharashtra.

In 6,464 cases, Pune city witnessed 4,029 cases, Pimpri Chinchwad (1,535). Further, other 591 cases in rural areas, and 148 in cantonment limits. As of Sunday, around 1,310 patients admitted to district hospitals.

On the other hand, Sangli reported 75 Omicron cases, followed by 40 in Mumbai, 22 in Pune city, 21 in Nagpur, 15 in Pimpri Chinchwad. Moreover, 12 in Thane city, 8 in Kolhapur, 6 in Amravati, and 5 in Osmanabad. Furthermore, 223 cases of the Omicron variant reported so far in Pune city, 68 in Pimpri Chinchwad, and 32 in Pune rural.

Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced a night curfew from 11 AM to 5 AM in the State, in view of the rising Covid-19 cases, said a source.
