Deepika Padukone’s old tweet resurfaces after Virat Kohli’s RCB score of 92:

IPL 2021: Renowned actress Deepika Padukone’s old tweet has gone viral on social media. She used to be a regular supporter of the RCB in the initial years of the T20 league. After KKR bundled out RCB for just 92 runs on Monday. The Virat Kohli-led side looked rusty and struggled to get going with Devdutt Padikkal topping the scoring chart with 22 runs. An old tweet of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has resurfaced. In the tweet from 2010, Deepika trolled Rajasthan Royals as they were bowled out for 92 by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) resumed the Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 14. On a disappointing note as they were hammered by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 9 wickets. RCB, who had won 5 of their first 7 matches in the first phase, could only score 92 runs while batting first. The embarrassing total saw an old tweet of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone resurface on social media.

The low total saw Deepika take to Twitter and troll the Royals.

“92!!is that even a score!? Way to go RCB! with u guys all the way…watching every second of it live!” Deepika had tweeted back then. The Challengers, then led by Kumble, won the game by 10 wickets, with Jacques Kallis being named the man of the match.

On Monday, in any case, RCB was very poor both with the bat and the ball. KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy and Andre Russell sacked three wickets. Each while Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer scored 82 runs for the principal wicket while pursuing a low complete of 93 runs. Kolkata dominated the game by 9 wickets in only 10 overs to reinforce their case for end-of-the-season games capability.

The Royal Challengers, prior, saw Devdutt Padikkal arise as the top-scoring batsman for the establishment with a score of 22. Establishment stalwarts like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Glenn Maxwell persevered through a frustrating excursion with the bat.

After the finish of the match, RCB captain Kohli deplored the group’s exhibition with the bat that saw them lose 5 wickets for only 20 runs.

Meanwhile, RCB coach Mike Hesson categorically said that the humiliating loss to Kolkata Knight Riders in the team’s opening match. The IPL second leg here had anything to do with skipper Kohli’s statement about quitting captaincy at the end of the season.

Kohli, who has been with RCB since the inception of IPL in 2008 and became captain of the team in 2013. Announced on September 19 that he will step down as the captain of the team after the end of the IPL 2021 season.

“It was important to get a good partnership” – RCB skipper Virat Kohli after KKR defeat

“It was important to get a good partnership on this surface. We honestly didn’t expect that much dew to kick in so early, we couldn’t have predicted that. It looked like a good wicket to bat on first up. We were 42-odd for one and then lost about five wickets within 20 runs from there. It is a very difficult situation to come back from a bit of a collapse there for us, a bit of a wake-up call, and might as well have this at the start of the second leg so that we know exactly what we need to work on,” Kohli said.

RCB are currently third in the points table with 10 points from eight games after Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals.
