PM inaugurates Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission

On Monday, Indian Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the 64k project which boosts India’s health infrastructure. As of the source, he launched PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. This will be one of the largest pan-India schemes for growing healthcare foundations.

As of the source, he has already been launched 28 development projects worth more than Rs. 5,200 crores for his nation.

The main objective of the project remains to fill gaps in public health organizations. It is applicable especially in critical care facilities and primary care around urban and rural areas.


PM Modi launched a 64k project in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The project may grant support for 17,788 rural health and wellness centres in 10 high-focus states. In the following, other 11,024 urban health & wellness centres may establish in all the states of the country.

The vast majority of areas lacked hospitals. Hospitals fell short of the facilities they needed to perform accurate diagnostic tests, perform surgery, and provide critical care. This led to gathering at big hospitals at major centres and assigned patients and their families to struggle for facilities.

The scheme provides for the establishment of a national institution for one health, 4 new national institutes for virology, a regional research platform for WHO South-East Asia Region, 9 biosafety level III laboratories, and 5 new regional national centres for disease control.
